Belated Birthday Present!

Quiet day at Kevin’s today after all the excitement and 150 miles of driving yesterday. But we managed to go for a walk to the next village for some shopping, LV cooked us a much better English breakfast than the hotel yesterday and we put together our list of purchases for the van. This bottle of wine was a birthday present for my birthday either 2 years or 3 years ago! Leyna and LV had conspired to treat me to something very special - it was given a full 100 rating by Robert Parker and this 2013 vintage is supposed to be exceptional. We will find out tomorrow as I am planning to create a meal that pairs with it - one of the team at the winery where this wine was produced recommends steak and truffle and or garlic - so if we can find the necessary ingredients tomorrow that’s what we’ll be eating. Looks like another hot day again tomorrow so plans to go to the beach and swim looks like it could happen!
