Camper Van Adventures Begin

After a fairly good night's sleep and a Full English Breakfast it was time to meet our lodgings for the visit.  This proved to be a very pleasant and professional proceedings courtesy of Ashley and Jack at SBC.  The van had been thoroughly checked over, serviced, the water was filled up and we were given a very informative lesson in everything the Camper Van had to offer.  To top it off, they presented us with a courtesy bottle of Champagne and a European adapter for our AC power lead.  This was probably the most enjoyable vehicle purchase from a dealer I have ever experienced.  It was then off on to the roads to see how driving a big van would feel.  I was surprised at how smooth and how like a regular car it performed and we made it up to Birningham, firstly to visit LV's wine warehouse see extra.for a pick up, and that entailed driving some roasds that were only wide enough for one vehicle - great practice and then a short cuppa with Bryn and chat about non other than Manchester City and a warning from Bryn not to visit Afghanistan in our Camper.  Another very good meal in a pub in Bingham with LV and good chats again.   Finally back to his flat to settle in for the next few days in preparation for our travels.  Extremely grateful for the way things worked out and very happy so far with our venture into motorised camping!
