Snakes!

I thought dogs were supposed to have a natural, instinctive fear of snakes! Xmas does not!

We met two of them (both dead) on our walk today and he was very curious and was not worried at all! Yiks! See the extra.

We continued our NW training today - it is going really well. I made a couple of videos of the little ones' progress.

You can see Xmas here!
And Tango here!

They are very different dogs - Xmas is fast and keen and goes back to the same hides many times. Tango is more thoughtful in his approach, which helps him in the 2nd search. It is a a parking lot where the hides are placed directly on the asphalt. This is new to both dogs, but Tango just does it - Xmas uses lots of time on trying to find something that looks like something he knows from previous searches and when that does not happen, he gets frustrated. Only then he starts searching and finds the first hide. Once he has found one, he finds the 2nd one very quickly.

It is very interesting to see how they develop each in their own pace and style.

The little ones had 2 training sessions today and we went for a lovely but very warm walk.

Gollum had his Nose Work class in the evening.

See you tomorrow
