A Trio of Tourists

They're still coming!  Usually things start to slow down in town in October.
We had a busy morning, starting with breakfast at the Tree House. Our friend was having breakfast too, and he came and sat with us for awhile. He's been the Assistant Fire Chief for around a year and he's told us that it's been confirmed that he's going to be the new Fire Chief. Great news! He'll be excellent in that position. We then did a couple of things in town before going to vote in the advance poll. The lineup was long  but we decided to wait - and a man came and asked us what the number was on the back of our voting card. Apparently the island was divided somewhere and there were two numbers on the cards - and everyone ahead of us was from the other number so he escorted us right in!  Bonus - but I did feel like a queue jumper. The people ahead booed as we walked past, but all in a good way. A stroke of luck! We'd likely have been waiting a good hour at least. Recycling and grocery shopping and we rushed home to watch Kalyn's team play in a tournament in Seattle. A very frustrating game for them, not looking at all like the team from last week. They lost to Biola Uni: 15/25, 21/25, 27/29.  We thought they were going to come back and win the third. I think they'll come out strong tomorrow. I'm off to start supper now.
