Rain and return

Catching up now, after a wonderful week of holiday with the Bear.

Another fruitless onsen trip in the morning - we got off the buss some 7km too early by mistake and had to wait around in the sleepy urban decay of Onoaida instead, watching the looming clouds instead of bathing in a tidal onsen. A bit of a bitter blow, but we managed to laugh it off. Luke's mood was immeasurably improved upon arrival into the port town of Miyanoura, when we found some vegetarian 'pumpkin curry burger' sandwiches in the nearby supermarket.

The rain began again as we prepared to leave Yakushima, and we snuggled down for a snooze aboard Kagoshima ferry.
