Skyspace

Yesterday's forecast for reasonable weather today had changed considerably by this morning, so plans to walk up Hedgehope Hill were abandoned. The idea of climbing a hill in drizzle with no prospect of a view from the top didn't appeal much!

Plan B was put in to action - a trip to Kielder over the Forest Drive. First stop was Blakehope Nick (extra) to admire the architecture and views. Two more stops before Kielder - to visit a hide (nothing interesting to report) and to have lunch (eaten in the van).

On through Kielder, we parked at the Bakethin car park and walked up to Kielder Skyspace (extra; yes, those are raindrops on the lens!). Not the best day to view the sky - as you can see from the Blip, it was grey, but we enjoyed the walk. Some time we'll go back in better weather at sunset!

Back home by the scenic route, for home-constructed pizzas...
