Sadly, time for Lucy to go home to Leeds. MrM needed to deliver a guitar to a friend in Wakefield, so he offered to drive her back.

We set off fairly early, with the intention of a scenic tour through the Dales on the way down. However, some weird and not at all wonderful diversions meant that the journey was taking much longer than expected, so MrM re-routed in the direction of the A1. Eventually, we dropped Lucy off at her accommodation, and said goodbye.

It had taken an age to get into Leeds, and took even longer to get out of it, but miraculously we were only 10 minutes late in arriving in Wakefield. Coffee was drunk, the guitar was handed over, and we had a quick stroll around the town before heading north. Very sad not to be able to meet with Tom on this trip - hopefully we'll see him before too long. A slight diversion of our own to Otley for fish & chips, and then the long drive back to northumberland. Got in just before midnight...
