Trebah

We had booked our visit to Trebah over a week ago. Before Mr C had the problem with his leg.
We arrived at the allotted time. They let us park near the entrance so Mr C didn’t have too far to walk.
He sat at the top of the garden with a lovely view right down the valley to the Helford river.
( I took a cushion for him as thought the stone seat would be rather hard!)
So I set off to walk through the gardens and down the steep valley to the beach. This time on my own.
Another hot sunny day.
At this time of year it is the hydrangeas which are the stars. Although unfortunately past their best.

The sea sparkled and I sat on the sea wall for awhile watching the world go by.
The beach wasn’t over busy, but usually we have it almost to ourselves.
A little robin came along to keep me company for a while.

Back up to rejoin Mr C who had enjoyed just sitting there in the sunshine.

The bottom right photo in the collage is the newly planted D. Day Memorial garden.
7000 soldiers of the 29th US Infantry Division embarked from this tiny cove.

Then to Porthleven where we sat overlooking the harbour with another Philps pasty!
( see extra). Just managed a parking spot as again the town was much busier than usual.
Something we are just going to have to put up with this holiday.

Back “ home” for a nice cuppa, and sat in the garden reading.

Another lovely day in Cornwall.

Must just say that the megrim we had last night was some of the best and most delicious fish we have ever had. Will buy some more next week if they have any.
