All A Board at Sea

It could be the Med. The Sun shone so strongly on the water, the sky was so blue... but it was Lyme Regis. We nipped down to the Jurassic Coast for a wander on the beach and a quick rummage into the landslips for ancient dead things.

Alas, all the fossils were gone or were so large as to be fixed in place. Well, there were several old fossils wandering the beach, and some of them were us. The kids having gone back to school and university like determined  little germ warriors, the promenade was full of old faces buried ear-deep into ice cream and fish suppers.

Away from it all, at peace with the world, the paddle-boarder sat in the jewelled sea. Waiting perhaps for the wave that would not come.
