The last time we ate in this restaurant was after my friends Amy's funeral, a bit less than a year ago. Then we were charged with emotion, and alcohol, and thought it was amazing.

Happily, in slightly different circumstances, it was as good today as we remembered. She would have approved of us celebrating her life there today.

Before stuffing ourselves silly we'd walked along the coastal path for six and a half miles to a pub that's been owned by the same people for over 50 years.  Apart from it being ridiculously hot it was a really good walk. And luckily the pub was ok too. 

Home tmorrow to a long list of personal admin chores. But not before one last dip. Probably.
