Wood Pigeon on Pink

They're back! For the first time in over two months (since this guy in mid-January), we had at least two wood pigeons perching within range of my long lens from our apartment in Paris 13e.

It was ca. 7°C when I took this at 16:46 in the afternoon, still distinctly below normal, and our radiators were warm. Therefore it seems very likely that this bird was sitting low on its chimney to get some degree of warmth from the building below. My favorite wood pigeon blip from our apartment is this, with more info on the bird.

The background is one of the red-tiled roofs that surround us. The lens is the Canon 400 mm DO, with a doubler, hand-held, resting on the edge of the window (blip shows it simply as 800 mm).
