A day out in the "Westhoek".

My friend and colleague I is originating from Poperinge . Most of her family is still living there. 3 weeks ago she became grandmother and today we planned a visit to her daughter , still living there. We took 2 bikes with , so her husband and i could explore   the beautiful landscape. We made it up to the french border town and back . Along our route we passed and stopped by the famous " St Bernardus " brewery . Nearby they were harvesting hop.
Towards the evening we visited another befriended couple were we were served the famous " W Vleteren " trappist. We arrived around 6U30 pm at my colleaugues daughtres house and enjoyed a good plate of flemish stew with fries.
