Tea, Chocolate and a Big Strimmer

A diary blip today as neither of us took photographs of any merit.

We had a quick look around the farmer's market this morning,  a film blip, bought some tea for Gill,  Chocolate for both of us and then went home, a quick change and met up for a keep Kineton beautiful session at the riverside.
This was billed as Clean the Dene and is an extra to the more normal village tidying efforts.

The Dene drains Edge Hill and Avon Dasset, flows through Kineton and then takes a meandering route through Walton and Wellesbourne until it joins the Avon at Charlecote Park.   Not at all deep in Kineton so we had three in waders and the rest of us taking the cleared junk (mostly fallen tree remains)  away from the bank.  I cleared some of the long grass and bramble with the strimmer but most of what we did was just pulling damp wood out of the water and clearing a path so any autumn and winter rainfall can drain away more effectively.  A warm sunny day, but we needed wellies, long trousers and sleeves, so everything we were wearing went into the washing machine once back home.

Encouragingly,  we only collected one bucketful of litter - mostly PET drinks bottles.

I've taken the spool out of the strimmer so I can organise some new line.

Hope everyone else has had an equally good day.

For a different blip experience, our granddaughter Ariadne won hero of the week for her reading expression.  I like the way she wears her tie in the style of Angus Young :-)
