Cyclamen in the woods

When we first got up this morning I thought we would all be driving to Birmingham with our son, but last night he decided not to take his works monitor with him.  I then realised that as he was travelling light he could catch a train instead.  He managed to find a reduced ticket for mid morning and we just dropped him off at Exeter train station.  That saved us a lot of time unfortunately the first part of his train journey was to Bristol on a train that was crowded and had a vocal group of drinking lads.  The second train was a fine and he had a seat so he is now happily settling into his flat in the centre of Birmingham for a couple of months.

After we dropped him at the station we headed into Topsham and went for a walk and lunch.  I wanted to see how the cyclamens were in the small area of woodland alongside the estuary.  They were in flower but not as prolific as the previous year.
