Life, Universe & Not Much

Memories

I have recently been producing a negative carrier for 110 film, using the 3D printer, but a problem was the fact that I had no 110 film to try it with. Then it occurred to me that 110 film is 16mm, and I used to have an old Minolta 16-II. After some searching I found 3 old films taken with the camera in the early 1960s, so I used these for testing. They were processed by Wallace Heaton - there's a name from the past! The highlight of the year for me used to be when their new Blue Book arrived, and rapidly fell apart as I kept looking through it. I still have some of those old Blue Books - we used to have 2, one for me and one for my father, and his copies lasted much longer than mine.
