A day in the life

By Shelling

On a trip like this, where I see a lot of people in a short time, I’m already a bit tired from the condensed meetings, trying to touch base and to review the last one and a half years of pandemic and where everyone is at the moment. It’s also fun of course, it’s been a long time since we could meet. In the late afternoon I was invited to yet another lovely dinner, like the three course meal we had yesterday and the freshly caught halibut we got today. I’ll have a lot of walking to do when I get home.
The blip of my cousins straw-roof in strong back light, is a camera experiment and I had to fiddle with it a bit afterwards to be able to see the roof at all. I’m thinking of buying a new iPhone because it’s now very old and the camera isn’t at all good anymore.
The day ended on a sad note when I had a phone call from my aunt R, in who’s house I’m staying while visiting Denmark. She is elderly and walk badly, had a nasty fall and broke her thigh bone. She had to go to the hospital in an ambulance and so my plans for tomorrow suddenly changed and I’ll go to the hospital to see her, instead of what we were otherwise going to do.
How fragile life is, and how unpredictable.
Take care, all of you.
