The Silver Rabbit…

is part of the Hill of Tarvit Mansionhouse collection and is usually to be found in the Dining Room. It is quite a favourite among the younger visitors.

The head is removable from the body and this might suggest that a glass container could be fitted and used to pour liquids such as a sauce or an aperitif.

This is unlikely to be the case with this particular rabbit. There is no glass container fitted. If one was fitted or could be fitted it would be very small indeed.

The number of visitors continues to be a goodly number and all wear masks and sanitise their hands.

Our journey yesterday was delayed by a road accident. A car had ended upside down in a ditch with a severely flattened roof.

Upon our return the car had been removed, however, there was no sign of any skid marks to indicate how the accident had occurred.

Had the driver fallen asleep at the wheel? That would account for the absence of skid marks. If so, how did he manage to get out of the car.

No ambulance was present. There was a police vehicle and a tow truck. Traffic was being managed by the tow truck driver.

I suspect that if there had been someone injured, then the road would have been closed and a diversion created.

The crashed vehicle was visible to Pat and it did upset her. I was completely occupied with negotiating the narrow gap left for traffic to pass through.
