Snug as a bug

Slept ok, not long enough......up at 8, lots to do today before sis, BiL & Kobi came for a visit and Sunday dinner.

Prepped all the food, peeled potatoes, veg etc.
and put the brisket in a crockpot with onions carrots, celery, thyme, rosemary & garlic for a long slow 4hours.

Swept up the rose petals outside, weather dry but bit grey. Hoovered through downstairs, a quick dust round, as you do lol, cleaned the loos, then popped into town as I realised I didnt have any oil for the roast potatoes and yorkshires !! Grabbed myself a coffee whilst I was there of course, just had enough time.

Visitors arrived not long after 1, Kobi had a lollop around the garden, he does enjoy the bigger spaces! Though about a dip in the pond but sis told him no! BiL disconnected my heater in themkitchen ready for the electrician to fit a new one....anoter job almost sorted. He came outminto the garden to look at thr Summerhouse, first time hes seen it properly, and hub too.

Todays blip is him after his dinner, and running around....he settled down really well, Bil said he, Kobi that is, can come for sleepovers lol!! BiL is full of a cold, so steered clear as I don't want that before my hols! Dosed him up with red wine and whisky. He doesnt feel poorly thankfully.

They left 7ish......loaded the dishwasher for the first time in probably 12 months, going to fill it over next day or so and give it a run!

Watched Vigil......really good isnt it!!

Bedtime just before midnight for a change.
