odd ones out

Late to bd but slept really well,  couldn't believe my eyes when I opened them and looked at the clock…. 9.27!!! Straight up, showered, dressed & breakfast, well, a quick banana, then out in the car,  grabbed a quick Costa to go, for me and middle son. 

We met at Haydock Park race course, with 3 of his 4 girls. Olivia was absent as she was spending the day climbing with her best friend. Paige, his eldest was having her second young drivers experience, around a large course across the various car parks of he race course. She did really well, got up into 3rd gear, reversed, parallel parked, a 3 point turn……she ism17 next year, these sessions will stand her in good stead for proper lessons. 

After thr driving, we hot footed to Tyldesley, where a friends daughter was singing…..she is really so good. You can check her out on instagram, Keira.Louise 007, she is just 14…..she ended her set with Coldplays Yellow, which she dedicated to “Norm” aka hub……i just about held it together. 
We grabbed a quick Maccy D’s…..the girls always enjoy it.  

Then we were back to daughters for a couple of hours……..we sat outside on the benches near hubs corner, chatting, the weather was really quite warm, even though it wasn't very sunny.  There was a squirrel inmhemtrees,behind,us, it was making a really strange,noise, none of us had ever heard a squirrel before….sounded more like a bird, kind of magpie like!!? 

Todays blip is tagged for silly Saturday, although I appreciate its not the first Saturday…. nevertheless its a very silly photo of 3 generations of Smiths. Me, daughter, 4 granddaughters….Paige the driver 16, Emily 13, Caitlyn 14 and Isabella 6.,
In extras is middle son with Isabella. 

We said our goodbyes to daughter K, Em & her fella Simon and went our separate ways. 

I got changed, pegged out some towels Id left washing, swept up the fallen rose petals and leaves and watered my baskets. Had chicken & bacon pasta for my tea this evening, before settling down to watch Strictly……quite enjoyed it.
Watching MoTD now, then it will be bed as I have a busy day again tomorrow.
