Loopy tongue

I photographed this butterfly today in the Border Ranges area, east of Kyogle.  I think it's a Black Jezebel but am happy to be corrected. When I downloaded the image I was puzzled by the circular, loopy feature in front of the mouth. It seems this is the butterfly's tube-like tongue, called a proboscis. Here is a film clip  showing how it is used.
