Little visitor

This little pigeon came for a drink. I like the bit of green on it’s wing. Note to self, clean out the birdbath. 

It’s not a very good photo taken through the window and mesh with the phone but you get the message. 

I spent half the day reading a book. The Piper’s Son by Melina Marchetta. It followed on from one I read last month called Saving Francesca. Very entertaining and likeable characters. I blipped the book when it arrived in the post last week.

Victoria had a 5.9 magnitude earthquake which was felt over a large area. It’s unusual for us to get them here so was a big talking point this morning. Other news was the third day of demonstrations in Melbourne. It started as a protest as they mandated construction workers having the Covid vaccination. It turned into a rally with anti vaxxers and right wing extremists.  I believe in peaceful demonstrations in the right place at the right time but this is crazy with the numbers of people with Covid rising every day. The unions are not happy as it makes them look bad. An interesting and alarming development.
