Heading Out

Sometimes you approach a subject with a clear thought in mind, but another element suddenly materialises that provides additional interest. This happened this morning when I was pointing my camera at the line of time-share lodges at the Dunkeld Hilton with their empty white tables and chairs on the little balconies and the snow on the ground. Disappearing into the distance was a lone walker, but then into the frame, popped a little girl wearing a colourful hat and coat, with her beautiful white dog adding human (and canine!) interest. For a split second in time they were in the perfect position, framed just below the balcony's wooden rail, and not obscured by any reflection in the glass barrier, before disappearing across the road into the family car.

This is today's blip although the rest of the day may bring other opportunities. The decision is made and I'm off to the little gym and then a quiet swim at the hotel's 'Living Well' leisure centre. The panoramic windows of the gym and pool look out on snow-covered parkland with the hills beyond - a magical setting for getting fitter on a very cold day! You can read more about the lodges here.
