Pantomime Goose

Today was a traveling day for the most part as we had to make our way down south to Sandhurst where the Van people have a company that does their mechanical repairs. Our air blower at the front of the van started to malfunction last week and the company committed to fixing it under warranty. Impressive experience - they had ordered the part in anticipation and within 10 minutes it had been replaced. We did have a brief stop in Sutton and coffee with Sam, Deb and Beth - which was a pleasant break. We also came across a car hand wash station in a Tesco car park and decided the Duke needed a bath - and so he emerged renewed and shiny. Finally reached our very basic site in a beautiful spot right in the middle of the New Forest at Godshill. No toilets or showers so the van will be much used for the next 3 days. Looking forward to walking and relaxing with a few potential visits. Unfortunately our good friend Marie died yesterday and we were hoping to see them while here. Hopefully we’ll get to see her husband Dave. Couldn’t resist this picture in the next little field - we wondered if it had been attacked by the other geese but the owner informed us that this strange arrangement of feathers is actually normal on a pantomime goose!
