Day 4

Our last day.

Yet another morning spent in the pool. We had to get our fill of the slides H had to get his fill of the slides with it being our last day. This afternoon he had a pirates and princesses party to attend, so Matt and I had a few hours to ourselves! Hooray! We had a walk around, did a bit of shopping (Matt was very happy to discover the clothes shop sold Joules and he managed to get a Polo top he'd been coveting since we were in Keswick last year but they hadn't had his size), then we went for a sneaky couple of drinks before going to collect H (obviously chomping on a bit of chewing gum before getting him so we didn't smell like alcoholic parents).

The weather forecast for the next few days was getting serious. I fact, we couldn't of been in a worse place for getting home as all our possible routes home - Derbyshire, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham - were forecast very bad snow. Matt didn't want to run the risk of getting stranded on the motorway with H in the car in the snow for hours on end, so we had to come up with a plan - try and extend our stay at CP. That was soon ruined when we found out it was fully booked for the whole weekend. So we needed a plan B - somewhere else to stay.

We managed to find somewhere very close by that had a log cabin in the forest available - hooray! So we quickly booked that. Panic over, and on to more ten pin bowling, H's final night at the disco and a lovely last meal at Strada.
