Goodbye To Angela

Angela Merkel sort of retires today.  I suspect she'll be co-opted onto many boards though.

I don't like her party politics but I do like her.  And, a bit like Gorbachev*, I don't think she'll ever get the respect she deserves.  

*His surname is Gorbatschow in German
