Life through the lens...

By ValC

Graveyard of the Jumbos.

On our way home, passing Cotswold Airport , we stopped in the lay-by to have a look at the lineup of planes.
When we past last year there were dozens of giant Jumbo jets all parked along the roadside.
Unfortunately today they had been moved further away, so my photos weren’t as good.

The airport is a Storage and Maintenance place for Air Salvage International.
Last year British Airways retired all their famous 747 fleet.

As we continued our journey we ended up following the front part of plane which was being towed away.
See the collage.

Not a bad journey home.
The car now emptied, and a large pile of washing to do tomorrow!

Not a happy bunny as the gas boiler won’t light.
Getting hold of British Gas impossible. Left on hold twice.
Ringing a local plumber tomorrow.
So much for our 4star contract!
Think I need glass of wine.
Good job it is warm, although MrC is going to light the fire.
