The Ivy on the Square certainly thinks Autumn is in full swing judging by the decoration gracing their front door today when I met a friend for toast and chat.

It was a wet dreich morning when I sloshed my way down into town so it was wonderful to sit in the cheer of the restaurant and catch up with my friend’s news.

Following a rapid tram ride from Princes Street to Hermiston Gait, I am now the proud owner of a Decathlon wetsuit with a front and back zip making it possible to put on without outside help. I’ve left buying the ice axe, in case the sea should ever freeze over, to a later date.
