Well, thanks for that RHS Chelsea!

Marlane has been watching the Chelsea Flower Show and one thing that seems to feature prominently this year is scorched wood.
She mentioned doing this before the show was on the TV but seeing it in living colour convinced her we need to include it in our new garden layout.
Luckily, we've been cutting down a lot of wood, also got a woodpile that has been sitting around for years not doing anything, plus a rotting Eucalypt tree that died after being 'pruned'. So plenty of wood.
We started on one of the two Holly tree stumps, the other I sawed off and it was also 'scorched. Idea is to attach the other pieces to the Holly stump.
It was fun at first, got a little boring after a few pieces of wood so my imagination took over. The EXTRA is a log that is performing re-entry into Earths atmosphere after a trip that involved "going to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilisations, to boldly go where no log has gone before".
