Sea-buckthorn - Hippophae rhamnoides

Jan bought this twig of sea buckthorn home, to draw. It also makes a rather lovely photo model too!
I've been reading up about it today and found Wikipedia the best source of information.
It's full of vitamins and is undoubtedly a healthy food. If you believed the claims of health food companies and alternative medicine it cures a huge list of ills, but unfortunately none of the actual research done backs up any of these claims.
It's also rather beautiful to look at!
