Black & white workshop: Day 1

First day of the black & white workshop, and we needed to venture out into the field to get some pictures to work on. Fortunately, the world had become black & white anyway.

We went back to Borrowdale, after my frozen sheep of a few days back, where there was still snow lying. This shot of Eagle crag, with the barn in the foreground appealed to me as the room of the barn seemed to echo the shape of the crag, and I did like the way the dry-stone wall led in from the lower left corner, and the two trees occupied the top right corner - it just seemed to make reasonable use of the whole frame.

Dry day, fairly cold, and the group were convinced I'd walked them miles - checking on the map, we managed just under two miles in the whole day (though to be fair, walking through the snow could, at times, be tiring.)
