Big Old Maple

This past weekend there were open houses for all the Maple Sugar Houses. People could visit any of the dozens throughout the state to sample all the wonderful products made from pure maple syrup. From maple sugar candy, to popcorn to donuts. It's an annual tradition that is just so sweet!
I couldn't resist taking one more shot of this beautiful, big old maple tree. As I was driving up the hill, it just stood out like a proud papa. The temperatures today were perfect again for the sap to run. I'm sure the owners had to empty these buckets several times in the last few days.
It makes me appreciate all the wonderful foods that are produced right here in our own backyard!
