Trash Day

San Miguel has a unique garbage collection system. Three times a week the truck arrives in the neighbourhood, announcing its arrival with a loud clanging sound, produced by banging on a piece of steel. The truck parks on a central corner and all the residents of the street run out with their trash and take it to the truck. Guys standing in the back of the truck in the middle of all the trash rip open the bags and sort out the recyclables from the regular garbage. Somewhere someone ALWAYS has a worse job than you!!
