Day 83 of 365 - Old Time Timber!

Welcome to day 83 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken just before 5pm standing in Bayley lane looking through an an old timber arch towards the clock on the side of the Council House in Coventry City Centre. The timbers of the arch have been dated to between 1406 and 1410 AD. The site of Bayley Lane were the timbers stand is one of the oldest parts of Coventry and dates back to approx 1088 AD were the "Bailey" (fenced courtyard) of Coventry Castle once stood.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the App GCam for iPhone, saved as a TIFF file. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used Snapseed to edit the image. The edits were made by sharpening the image. I then boosted the Ambiance, Contrast and Saturation. I then applied the Drama filter. Finally I used the App ShockMyPic to boost the tone of the overall image.
