Squirrel

The fences are multiplying around the Halsey House (or the remains of it) in the Redwood Grove.  I was checking on my favorite tree - nice of the squirrel to pose for me.
The city has a non-profit organization and volunteers restoring native plants in the grounds - I've heard nothing about plans for the building.  Soon it will crumble away on its own, that'll take care of the problem.
