Happy Hour

It hit 89 in the backyard this afternoon, and I heard it broke 100 in the mountains, so it seemed like something to celebrate. Plus it was too hot to cook. We went over to a place with pleasant outdoor seating and very nice cocktails and pizza. The appetizer is close to what we have at home, but so much better when someone else puts it on the plate: fresh tomatoes, pesto, burrata  and bread that's almost as good as Mr S's. All enhanced by bourbon and the tropical temperature. It was a good outing, and we drove by the ocean on the way home and saw crowds of people out for a stroll.
