We see no dolphins

Scotland trip day 4 Chanonry Point

We set off on our hunt for dolphins and headed out to Chanonry Point, a spit of land extending into the Moray Firth on the Black Isle. As we drive through Fortrose we see the remains of a Cathedral and thought it was worth investigating on our return journey.

Arriving at the Point, the water was pretty choppy so no chance of any dolphins today.

We had a lovely walk along the beach and visited the lighthouse. We leave the beach and head to Rosemarkie following the path to the Fairy Glen to see the waterfalls.

All this walking made us hungry so we found a nice spot and had our lunch.

Time to head back to the caravan park but not before we take a quick look at the ruined Cathedral in Fortrose, which was founded c1200.

Although it was cloudy we were lucky not to have any rain.
