Inveraray Castle

After yesterday's moody Kilchurn Castle shot you have the complete contrast of a Disney-esque Castle in Inveraray. It's the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Clan Campbell and one of my favourite Scottish Castles with those chateau like turrets.
It had closed for the season but we were able to walk all around the surrounding grounds and right up to the back entrance. This was handy as we had a very heavy rain shower and we were able to shelter under the canopy where visitors would normally queue to get in. In extras you can see the view from the harbour (2 image stitch) and the Castle would just be to the left of this view but is covered by trees from this angle.
We managed to get diesel here in a sweet little garage. They had set a limit of £25 but we were quite happy with that. I should add we had no problem getting fuel in Scotland at all. It was a different case when we drove through England after our trip.
