A Sense of Nature

Today we had a walk through Burrator arboretum on Dartmoor. It is basically a small, level area of woodland made accessible by a series of good footpaths and boardwalks. I think, that as well as creating a small nature reserve it was intended to enable people who might find difficulty accessing other areas of the moors, to enjoy nature and a sense of wilderness. I felt encouraged today seeing older people with limited mobility, people with disabilities and grandparents with young children, all enjoying their time here.
