Looking East at Sunset

An hour and a half earlier there had been a heavy shower of rain which produced a partial rainbow as it moved away.  Then, as the sun went down on the other side of our house, the tops of the tall cumulus clouds took on a bright yellow-orange colour that reflected well in the sea in front of the Bass Rock and Craigleith.  More than enough to make up for the lack of a sunrise behind the island these last two days.
