Mother of Inventions

Very grateful to John Mouras who apparently invented the septic tank.  Ours was finally emptied today, a few months late due to one thing or another, including the tanker having problems getting a slot on the ferry over the summer.  It was a different driver to previous years and he decided to just back the tanker half way up the drive and string together a series of pipes to reach our septic tank.   I did wonder if his rather tired looking vehicle was about to give up the ghost because at one point quite a lot of black smoke seemed to be pouring out of somewhere.  Still, job done :)
