Life through the lens...

Almost Autumn

Such a beautiful day and quite a change from yesterday.
As MrC was feeling so much better we decided to go to Naburn Locks for our autumnal walk along the river to see the conkers.
Something Mr C first did about 68 years ago, and I first went with him about 58 years ago.
As always such a peaceful spot. The river was high and had totally covered the weir.
Mr C managed the short walk from the carpark, and we came back with a bag of conkers. I then went for a longer walk while Mr C made his way back to the car, having a chat with the fisherman on his way.
( see extra and of the fisherman and all the conkers on the ground)
After a picnic lunch we set off back home.
Temperature reached 19C.

To say there is a shortage of lorry drivers there certainly were plenty on the M62.

So my Blip is for the Wide Wednesday challenge, Almost Autumn.
