Fly invasion

I walked in to the village this morning and stopped to photograph a flowering plant in a neighbour's garden. Some kind of jasmine?, I wondered. Then a green fly appeared in my viewfinder. Click.

I later decided the flower is probably Star Jasmine (also called Confederate Jasmine and Asian Jasmine). The fly is very likely a Green Bottle Fly, also called Sheep Blow Fly. Most online images of this fly feature less attractive surrounds than jasmine flowers - they are commonly associated with all kinds of decomposition.
