A lovely day out

A blustery windy day with lots of sunshine and billowing clouds. I joined my friend in Rolle where we walked along the lake before having a tasty meal of fish in a lakeside café.

The photo is the town of Rolle with the 13th century castle against a background of beautiful vineyards. The wine harvest was in full swing. There were choppy little waves with white crests on the lake. The tall trees on the right of the photo are growing on an island called l'Isle de la Harpe.

My friend and I hadn't seen each other for two years and it was great to get together again and catch up on all our news!

It takes me just under 30 minutes on the train to get here.
