Seeing Beyond Looking

Autumn Plantations

Lots of my flowers are no longer producing new blooms and today, I sadly removed the Gerbera daisy plants. The last red flower was looking well past its prime, but when I put it in the bucket to add to the compost heap, I felt like giving it a last moment of glory with the beautiful curly leaves.

I've already planted some tiny viola and I will plant a new window box with bright and cheerful cyclamen.   I don't do many autumn plantings, but it's nice to be able to see a little colour from the kitchen and the living room.

The sun is trying to come out! Wow!
