Egyptian geese

My husband wanted to walk in the direction of Sizewell  today. I suggested we stop at the Meare at Thorpeness en route for our lunch so that’s what we did. A gull, spotting an opportunity for some lunch crumbs decided to broadcast the fact and all three large cygnets and a multitude of wildfowl descended on us. We had never seen this species of goose before and I think I have the ID correct. Another eight miles walked today, we went over the heathlands and woods but returned the shorter distance along the coast although some parts are over the shingle which is heavy going. There are posters displayed locally opposing the building of Sizewell C which if built would impose on the Minsmere nature reserve which is to the North of the proposed site.
