Learning the Game

We headed out early for the long walk over to the West Side for a day with our two youngest granddaughters.  We had great fun as always and had a good catch-up with #3 son and his wife.

For the first time, Hailey sat and watched a baseball game, which happened to be the last game of the regular season with ramifications for the play-offs.  Surprisingly she paid close attention as her grandfather explained it to her.  She entertained us with some very cute questions, such as " why do they keep spitting, grandpa?"  He didn't have a good answer for that one!

We headed back to the east side for a repeat of our morning walk. We aren't ready to take public transportation and yellow taxis have nearly disappeared with the pandemic. Uber rides that used to cost $20 now cost $50.  So we walked and achieved 20,000 steps for the day!
