Under Autumn Chestnuts

I love that golden orange that horse chestnut leaves go in autumn. These trees are in the front garden of Newark Park, just behind the haha, and are vibrant with cyclamen and autumn crocus.

Warm wet winds are covering our little island in murky low cloud, and that's given a softness to the highlights. I chose to go with a five frame HDR - the air was still and I got away with it. It makes for more of an abstract than a photograph and some will inevitably draw an inward breath. But I like it. ;-)

Have a splendid weekend, folks.
