Crago Flour Mill

Crago Flour Mill is one of Newtown's oldest heritage buildings. Constructed in 1886, at its peak the mill ran 24 hours a day, milling three different kinds of wheat. In 1984 the mill ceased operation and was converted into artists’ workshops. Early this century it was converted again for a mix of residential and commercial use while preserving heritage fittings such the as drive shafts, wheels and pulleys.

I'm calling this derelict because of the faded Crago Flour Mill and Federal Flour Mill signs.

Thanks for hosting Marlieske. Stay well all.
