The East Gate

Down to town to get things sorted for tomorrow's trip to Paris, and wondered past this - the old East Gate though bath's medieval wall. Now noticeably below street level, this used to lead to a ferry which would take you across the river Avon to Bathwick. For those familiar with Bath, pultney weir is directly behind this.

Had a nice catch up with Tom, who is back in Bath now for revision and marking. Headed to Same Same But Different, a nice coffee shop, and then wondered the cold streets recounting tales of drunkenness and student life. Kate is back tomorrow, but I've got a feeling that trying to fit in meeting her before I have to head off to the airport will be difficult.

Euros purchased. Can't wait. Though not looking forward to the flight.
