Anne's Daily Encounters

By dutchdelight

Morning sun

This is about 0830 hrs when I walked up to the baker for a loaf of bread...had to wait till he'd taken ready loafs out from the oven.

Then there was sunshine still and this yard (αυλι / aula) belongs to a neighbour a few houses round the corner ~ I loved the light on this spic span clean place.

Now it's clouded and windy and it seems that the bad weather from the mainland is reaching Crete now.

Just read in the newspaper that Zagora on Pilion got a rainfall of 7 meters (700 mm) in 72 hours; it's the main village high up the hills of Pilion and I visited it 2 years ago

from the local paper... it says that in 3 days as much rain fell as otherwise in 2 years...
